HOW TO MAKE ROSE WATER


Roses have been an ideal gift to express love for thousands of years. They are not only soothing to eyes but also for our heart. Have you ever noticed when you feel irritated or your mind is running in all directions and you smell some floral essence like that of a Rose, your mind instantly calms down. 

Roses also have many medicinal properties which help in creating overall well-being. It is healing on both physical and psychological level.If you ever go to Iran, Rose water sells like coke there. You can find them pretty much everywhere. People drink it first thing in the morning to set themselves up for the day. 

Rose water has been used in Indian kitchens since ages. In desserts, beverages and other culinary preparations. Rose is unique, it is flavorful and it smells lovely. 

It also offers many skin care benefits. In the beauty industry, it is considered a Youthful Skin tonic. The alluring scent of rose is breathtaking. 

Rose water can be made easily at home it is super quick and simple and you will be sure that it is pure without any additives.

HOW TO MAKE ROSE WATER 

You will need:


  • 1 cup dried rose petals
  • 2 cups hot water 
  • 1 heat proof bowl
  • cheese cloth or strainer 
  • spray bottle 


METHOD:



  • In a bowl add 1 cup rose petals. Pour in 2 cups of hot water on the petals. Cover the bowl and let the rose petals steep for at least 4 hours or overnight. Then strain the rose water and transfer into  spritzer bottle or any glass bottle. Store in refrigerator. Will be good upto 2  weeks
  • Use this rose water for culinary preparations as well as for beauty purpose.

NOTE:


  • Always make sure you buy good quality rose petals. The one I used  are organic as well as food grade.Got it from Amazon(the best place to find everything :-) )
  • Also, make sure you use pure filtered water not tap water.
