This Korean Tofu stir fry is my go to Quick, Easy and Healthy recipe which I make quite often. The best part is it taste Restaurant style and my husband think I have put in a lot of effort making it ;-). Tofu VS Paneer (Indian Cheese) I always opted for paneer, but no more. I have this amazing recipe which taste as good as paneer and its DAIRY FREE option too. I kind off avoid dairy as I get acne flare ups if I consume too many dairy products. 
Note: Make sure you buy organic tofu and if possible sprouted one. With all this GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms)thing going on its better to stick with organic stuff.


*1 packet of extra firm organic tofu

* 4 tablespoon of of chopped green onion (more the better)

* 3 tablespoon of low sodium soysauce

* 2 teaspoon of minced garlic or dry garlic ( fresh taste better) 

* 1 teaspoon grated ginger

* 1 teaspoon of red chili powder or cayenne pepper

* 2 teaspoon of sesame seeds

* 2 pinch of brown or regular sugar...I sometimes even use Maple syrup.

*1  tablespoon cooking oil 

* 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil optional.


* In a bowl make tofu sauce. Mix together ginger,garlic,soy sauce, chili powder,sesame seeds , green onions and sugar. Let it sit for 1 hour at least. The longer this soy sauce sits the better it taste.

* Slice the tofu and make sure you pat them dry.

* Now stir fry the tofu in a pan. Make sure you cook them from all sides. Crispiness is the key for the fabulous taste..:-)


*Once tofu is cooked add the tofu sauce. Let it cook for 2 to 3 mnutes. Then cover the pan and let it simmer for 5 minutes. 

Beware your house will be smelling with the gorgeous aroma of soy sauce, neighbors wondering what did she cooked today ;-)

Its ready to be served...Serve hot :-)
