I loveeeeee Smoothiesss...!

Last year when I bought an expensive blender I was not too sure if I am making the right decision. WE are a small family of two, me and my Sweet Husband who at that time have NO inclination towards smoothies. But Smoothing is all over Martha Stewart, Kris Carr, Dr Oz, Oprah all big shots talking about it. Pinterest was bombarded with unusual combinations of fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds all in one shot. I was desperate to give it a try.

Blenders run from $20 to $600. I bought a pretty decent one.Since then its my favorite kitchen appliance. It became my experiment ground  on which I try varied combinations of healthy bites and enjoy the blend till its last sip.

It came as blessing to me. I saw a sudden surge in my energy levels, felt more alive and happy. Yes, that's the power of REAL foods.

Well, not many people I know are fond of eating raw fruits and veggies and that too about 6 servings daily. But no more I have to worry,  SMOOTHIES come to my rescue.

Today I am sharing with you one of my favorite smoothie recipe. Summers have started and so is the season of my favorite fruit MANGOES. I cant stop my self indulging in some sweet blends using this amazing fruit.

Lets Get started:

  • 1 cup frozen or fresh mango
  • 1 cup kale (healthy greens)
  • Coconut Sugar or any other sweetner( As per taste)
  • 1 cup yogurt ( I used Greek Yogurt)
  • 1 Tbsp Almond Butter
  • 1 Tbsp Flax seed
  • Water as per consistency you like
